Marathon
Transition is a team of professional therapists and trainers that addresses the unique needs of athletes of all ages. The purpose of this conditioning class is to give each participant the tools to successfully finish a marathon. Whether this is your first marathon or you are a veteran, this group strength class will improve your ability to train and finish a marathon injury free and cross the finish line with a smile on your face at your projected time.
o Using your specific heart rate training zones
o Corrective exercises
o Proper gait mechanics
o Injury prevention
o Strength and conditioning for the Endurance athlete
o Discuss training plans/types of training runs
o Proper “fueling strategies”
Class includes group strength and conditioning 2x/week, functional movement screening and a VO2 test to determine proper training zones
