Trish Washburn - RyJax instructor

Trisha Washburn graduated from University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communications. Her certifications are in AFAA Group Fitness Instructing, USA Cycling Level III Coach, CycleOps Power Coach, Yoga Instructing, Sports Nutrition, First Aid, and CPR. She left her corporate job to pursue yoga and fitness full time and has brought many attributes with her. She opened her own yoga studio, Soleil Lune Yoga Center, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 2002.

"When you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life! I have a true passion for fitness and helping others better themselves inside and out. We have the responsibility to take care of these bodies we were given. It doesn't come easy. We all need a little motivation and encouragement. That is how I can help you!"

Trish Washburn received her yoga teacher's training from Kriya Temple and has studied with numerous yoga masters. She has over 600 hours of Teacher Training and  has an avid thirst for self-study. Her fluid, fun style comes from her experiences and from being open to different teaching styles. On her yoga journey, Trish has studied many different types of yoga - including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Bikram, Baptiste, and her latest intrigue; Forrest yoga. Trish is inspired by the deep transformations of body, mind, heart, and soul that yoga can engender for practitioners.

Trish's teaching style is fun, creative and non-judgmental with an emphasis on releasing everyday stress and negative attitudes to experience the joy yoga and cycling brings. She brings a fun, modern edge to her RyJax classes by incorporating unique and modern music, dynamic flows and challenging variations to both disciplines. She is firmly grounded in alignment principles and an avid fan of yoga philosophy: lessons in yoga, perhaps lessons in life. Always open to questions, she is able to tailor classes to students' needs, and encourages acceptance of each moment as a necessary step along the path of well-being and peak performance in life and body.
Trish believes that people are drawn to fitness for many different reasons and within each class students are encouraged to tailor their practice to their individual needs.
