Heather comes from a non-athletic background. Her first competition was at the age of 21 at the ever-popular Danskin Triathlon. Knowing very little about the sport, she completed the swim in Lake Michigan without a wetsuit, the cycling portion on a mountain bike and ended the run with whatever running shoes were in the closet. Since, Heather has accomplished more than she ever thought and contributes her success in learning to train smarter not necessarily harder. No matter what the distance you are training for, Heather’s focus is to individualized each plan according to your goals, needs and current life style. She believes in getting the most of your workouts by eliminating the junk miles and enjoying the journey along the way. Even as a professional Triathlete, her best Ironman finishes were with a training volume of less than 20 hours.
