Bikes

Can a person ever have too many bikes???  I think this is why I opened a bicycle store, endless bikes and gear.  It’s that or just a good way to hide some of  my obsessive purchases from my wife; probably the latter, I love you sweetheart.

I have yet to figure out how to stock every single brand and model bike in the world; there are some crazy options out there.  Reality is having to choose what brands best suite my clients, my staff, and myself.  I don’t have a ton of lines because I believe in standing behind my products and supporting  the relationship I have with my current vendors.  The blend of bikes are chosen for specific reasons.  Each line works with the other, filling areas that are important to each but not to all.  I take pride in carrying something for everyone.  I may not have the exact bike you need but I will have it for you in a reasonably short amount of time.  Before we order a bike I promise that the bike you choose will be a decision you have made based on fit, geometry, material, and feel.  My staff and I would rather NOT  be the “Sales Guy”. We want to give you, as a consumer, the best possible position on what ever bike your testing.  Let’s let the design and ride quality of the bike finalize your decision.

Bicycle Manufactures we Carry and Why

Specialized is my bread and butter line.  They manufacture all types of bikes from BMX to High End Road and everything inbetween.  They have flawless riding bikes that are comfortable and perform at the highest levels. Their accessories are well thought out and very functional.  They have a scientific approach to how a bike should fit and dedicate themselves to educating their dealers.  Specialized is a pro-active company that sees the big picture instead of just dollar signs.  As a business owner I appreciate the freedoms Specialized gives me.

Serotta Bicycles builds the finest custom-made bicycles in the industry.  Their white-glove approach to manufacturing and unending quest to provide all of their customers with the best fitting and finest hand-crafted bike is a step above the rest.  Ben Serotta is the Brain Child of modern day bicycle fit.  First coming up with the Size Cycle (which we use almost everyday), then the Serotta Fit School.  Serotta is the Harvard of Bicycle Fit Technology and has set a standard that is the highest in the industry.  They have done this not only in Bicycle Fit but in Manufacturing as well.  They work with Steel, Titanium, and Carbon.  Whether you choose to combine materials or stick to a specific we can tune and tweak the bike to your specs. Great company, Great Bikes

Another outstanding company builds their reputation on craftsmenship and custom capabilities.  I carry mainly their Tri and Time Trial bikes; they make some outstanding road bikes also.  Tri Bike Fit is still new comparatively and I have found there to be less room for error.  I was struggling for a number of years to find a manufacturer that had a  Tri bike that would work for everyone given the proper sizing.  This is where Guru shines, their custom capability and turn around is leading the industry in this category.  I now have the luxury of making a bike for those who are going to have a difficult time finding a proper fitting bike and can do so within a price range that begins under $2500 with Ultegra.   Take a look at the Crono; you probably shouldn’t ride it because you’ll want to take it home.

Since 1944 (when Ernesto Colnago held a torch at twelve years old) he began building flawless hand-crafted bicycles.  Times have changed and new, more advanced materials have been introduced into the bike industry.  Colnago has been able to combine their impecable history with some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies.  They are the only manufacturer in the Cycling Industry to hold an ISO 9001:2000 certificate for Quality Control and Manufacturing Excellence.

A Colnago Bicycle has a distinct ride characteristic immediately noticed in the first mile.  A fun bike to ride and a history second to none.
